“We are honored to continue our partnership with the NFL Player Care Foundation and Microsoft Leap to support the NFL Legends Cohort”
“Microsoft Leap is an invaluable program for NFL Legends and an important way to support them beyond the game. It opens new doors through technical upskilling and equips Legends with the tools and opportunities to transition to new career paths. I’m proud to partner with Microsoft in empowering these players to achieve professional fulfillment in life after football,” said Paul Blalock, Interim Executive Director of the NFL Player Care Foundation.
The 8-week program will consist of 40 hours of virtual learning and skills development per week and will begin in early April, coinciding with the 90th annual NFL Draft. The Microsoft Leap NFL Legends Cohort will participate in immersive training covering a range of topics and a real-life skilling segment working on high-value projects. This learning experience will provide a unique opportunity for NFL Legends to leverage their transferable skills, such as analytical ability, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, to transition to a career in technology as product managers.
