Headspace 2025 Report Highlights Employee Mental Health
Headspace, the provider of the world’s most accessible, comprehensive mental health solution, announced the launch of its seventh annual Workforce State of Mind report, revealing new findings on the perceptions of HR leaders and workers on mental health. Based on a global survey fielded between November 2024 and January 2025, the report compiles insights from more than 2,000 workers in the U.S. and the UK on trends impacting their mental and physical health at work. The report also includes input from nearly 250 HR leaders, highlighting the unique stressors faced by employee benefits decision-makers.
German Businesses Spend 55 Days Filling Each Vacancy
Analysis of over 5.1 million online job applications in Germany reveals that the median time to fill a vacancy is 55 days, and each vacancy attracts 48 applicants. The research by SmartRecruiters, the recruiting AI company, also reveals that 5.4% of the 48 applicants typically get invited to interview, resulting in 1.4% receiving job offers. Globally, companies using AI fill vacancies 26% faster than those not using it. In terms of the recruitment process, the data reveals that job applications in Germany are on average, reviewed in 8 days, with interviews taking place 20 days after applications are received. Individual applicants in Germany are 40% more likely to receive an invitation for an interview than the global average.
Spectrum’s Free Tuition Program Strengthens Workforce
Spectrum announced that its Education Benefit, which covers 100% of tuition costs upfront for full-time employees pursuing select online degree and certificate programs, is driving career mobility and retention amongst its workforce since launching in August 2023. Employees enrolled in Spectrum’s Education Benefit have received promotions at a rate 24% higher than non-engaged employees, and the Company retains participants at a 10% higher rate than non-participants. More than 13,000 Spectrum employees have participated in or completed a program since the Education Benefit launched, a rate that is 8.5 times higher than the Company’s legacy program. Of those participants, 68% are frontline, customer-facing U.S. employees. Spectrum’s Education Benefit provides tuition-free access to nearly 300 online degree and certificate programs from 30 universities and learning providers, allowing employees to gain skills in high-demand areas, like operations management, marketing and technology, to advance their careers with Spectrum.

Torchy’s Tacos, the fast-growing taco chain known for its Damn Good food and people-first culture, is transforming its hiring process with AI. Backed by General Atlantic, Torchy’s has seen rapid partnership in the past few years, including 10+ locations in new markets in 2024 and several upcoming openings in 2025. To support their expansion, the brand has partnered with LANDED, the leading Generative AI-powered hiring platform. The partnership has cut hiring time by 66% and reduced turnover by 62%, all while delivering a personalized applicant experience—one that reflects Torchy’s roots, where every candidate is welcomed with the same hospitality as its first food truck in Austin.
