Today, I am super-thrilled to have our Director of HR Ankit Kumar, join us to share his insights on how HR technology is at the cusp of breaking the barrier for the global marketing and sales services industry. HR Technology Insights (HTI): Hi Ankit, welcome to the HRTech top voice series. Please tell us a little bit about your role and how you use HR technology for your department.

Thank you for having me! 

As the Director of HR at Intent Amplify, I oversee the entire gamut of HR functions which includes the 360-degree employee lifecycle. In conventional organizations, the lifecycle “Starts with Entry” and “Ends with the Exit” of an employee. In other words,  Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Training & Development, Payroll, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Workforce Planning, and Culture-Building Initiatives. 

However, at Intent Amplify, our engagement with employees goes beyond the norms. We thrive on the idea of “Give-and-Grow”, which is built on the foundations of having a strong vibe toward employee well-being, positive learning experiences, feedback management, and mutual respect for all– which persists even after the “exit” process. Let me tell you that it’s never easy to maintain that, as we strictly follow data governance and compliance frameworks. 

That’s where a tool like UKG can really help with total employee lifecycle management.

HTI: What are the key challenges you face in your HR functions? 

One of the biggest challenges in HR today is balancing automation with human connection. While technology has significantly improved efficiency, it’s essential to maintain the personal touch in employee experience, especially in a hybrid or remote setup.

Another key challenge is hiring the right talent quickly. In the fast-paced world of B2B lead generation, we need professionals who can hit the ground running, making AI-driven assessments and predictive analytics crucial for identifying high-potential candidates.

Lastly, employee retention is a growing concern. The modern workforce seeks growth, flexibility, and purpose—and HR teams must use people analytics to personalize career paths and engagement strategies to keep employees motivated.

Personalized Career Development Plans – AI suggests career paths, recommends upskilling courses and predicts future leadership potential.
Real-Time Feedback & Coaching – AI-driven tools provide instant feedback on employee performance, helping managers take quick action.

Example: We implemented an AI-powered performance analytics tool, which provided unbiased performance insights, leading to a more transparent appraisal process.

Example 2: AI for Employee Engagement & Retention

AI-Powered Pulse Surveys – AI tracks employee sentiment through periodic pulse surveys and identifies engagement trends.
Attrition Prediction Models – AI analyzes historical employee data (performance, engagement, absenteeism) to predict who is at risk of leaving.
Sentiment Analysis from Emails & Chats – AI tools analyze workplace communication to detect signs of disengagement or burnout.

Example: We used AI-driven employee sentiment analysis and it flagged early signs of disengagement in a team. We took proactive measures, reducing attrition risk by 25%.
