The firm that invented the electronic switch with its Ideal Switch technology, Menlo Microsystems, has announced that it would be adding the first Chief Operating Officer (COO) to its senior leadership team. Yalcin Bulut, who has joined the company as COO, will answer directly to Russ Garcia, the CEO.

“Menlo Micro’s strong, innovative, and impressive product portfolio coupled with their expanding market presence is what drew me to the company”

After holding the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at United Silicon Carbide (UnitedSiC, now Qorvo), Mr. Bulut joined Menlo Micro. Prior to that, he had executive positions at Alpha and Omega Semiconductor and Vishay, Inc., where he served as Vice President of Discrete Product Lines and Vice President of Power Product Lines, respectively.

At Menlo Micro, the newly created COO role will oversee various crucial operations. Mr. Bulut will be in charge of the business’s product, quality control, and sales departments.

“Yalcin has decades of experience in the semiconductor sector, operational and commercial successes, as well as a proven track record of increasing client acceptance globally. His business savvy and solid track record of inspiring and developing teams mark a step toward boosting our growth”, according to CEO Russ Garcia. “I am confident that Yalcin will become a crucial member of our executive leadership team with his domain experience and strategic insight.

“Menlo Micro’s strong, innovative, and impressive product portfolio coupled with their expanding market presence is what drew me to the company,” stated Yalcin Bulut. “I am energized by the opportunity that Menlo has in front of them. This is an exciting time in the company’s strategic expansion, and I look forward to establishing and supporting the initiatives that accelerate that trajectory.”

Mr. Bulut obtained a Bachelor of Material Science Engineering from Middle East Technical University, and afterwards got his Master of Business at Iowa State University.
